Moore Continues Discussions With Administrators of Peter Scott & Co

Local MP Michael Moore has continued his discussions with KPMG about the situation at Peter Scott & Co. In particular Mr Moore has raised the fate of the social fund and urged the Administrators to investigate fully all the options in the hope that former employees’ concerns can be allayed.

The Administrators have set a deadline of 14 June 2010 for declarations of interest in buying the firm.

Commenting on the situation, Mr Moore said:

It is clear that the Administrators are working hard to find a buyer and I am encouraged by the early interest of investors. I hope that this interest results in formal and viable bids for the company by next week’s deadline.

I will continue to liaise with local bodies to ensure the right support is made available for all those affected, not just at Peter Scott & Co but also at Mainetti’s.
